Apple Releases New Hearing Aid Feature Ad Campaign

2 min read

Apple has introduced a new advertising campaign for their Hearing Aid feature in iOS 17 that helps users with hearing impairments. This feature starts with a simple prompt that asks users to enable the feature and then guides them through the process of a simple hearing test. If it is detected that the user has hearing loss, the feature will automatically adjust the audio to help with hearing and allow the user to fine-tune the settings within the Hearing Aid menu.

The hearing aid is promised to be a clinical grade experience with the AirPods Pro 2. Considering traditional hearing aids can cost thousands of dollars, this is a game changer for many users.

Those users that do not have hearing loss are also able to use the feature to amplify the audio and certain frequencies of their device.

The advertising campaign shows a father listening to his daughter play guitar, and how the Hearing Aid feature allows him to hear her, and other experiences, clearly.

This comes alongside Apple's groundbreaking feature introduced in iOS 17 that helps users preserve their voice identity called Personal Voice. Launching with a similar advertising campaign as the new Hearing Aid feature showing the features impact on a user's life, we see how Apple is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the accessibility space.

Personal voice includes:

  • Machine learning voice recreation
  • Personalized voice banking
  • Integration with Live Speech feature
